Request for Proposal: External Audit Services

Soccer Nova Scotia invites qualified firms to submit proposals for external audit services for fiscal years ending in 2026 through to 2028.

As the provincial governing body for soccer, Soccer Nova Scotia supports grassroots programming, youth development, coaching education, referee training, and competitive leagues across the province. We are seeking a partner who shares our commitment to excellence and accountability.

Key Information:

• Fiscal Year End: March 31

• Audit Timeline Includes:

  • Interim audit (end of January)

  • Audit fieldwork (late April to early May)

  • Presentation of findings to Finance Committee, Board of Directors, and at the AGM

• Audit Scope Includes:

  • Audited financial statements (years 2026–2028)

  • Management letter

  • Tax filings (T2, T1044, and applicable NS forms)

  • Ongoing consultation and support

Submission Requirements:

Proposals must include the following:

• Firm overview and team qualifications

• Non-profit and audit experience

• Detailed audit approach and scheduling

• Fee structure (including approach to cost overruns)

• Corporate social responsibility and any relevant sport partnerships

• Disclosure of potential conflicts of interest

• Three (3) references
