All leagues within the Performance Pathway are hosted by the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL).

The Pre-Performance leagues are U12A, U13AA and U15AA

For the 2021/22 winter and 2022 Summer Leagues these following age groups are eligible

  • U12AA – 2012
  • U13AA – 2011
  • U15AA – 2010 & 2009

What is it?

  • The Pre-Performance divisions provide an appropriate place for young players to compete against players of in the same age and stage in their development
  • All the Pre-Performance Divisions are Province-wide competitions.
  • Clubs that participate in these divisions can expect to travel throughout the province to play games
  • The purpose of the Pre-Performance divisions is to provide competitive game environments for players who show an aptitude for soccer

How it Operates

  • U12A – 9 v 9 games with no recorded scores and statistics
  • U13AA – 9 v 9 games with a Provincial Championship
  • U15AA – 11 v 11 games with a Provincial Championship

How to be a part of it

  • Players are selected by their Clubs to be on the Pre-Performance teams.
  • Please check with your Club to see if they operate teams in these divisions

The Performance Divisions are U15AAA and U17AAA.

For the 2024 Summer Leagues these following age groups are eligible

  • U15AAA – 2009 & 2010
  • U17AAA – 2007 & 2008

What is it?

The Youth Performance divisions are standards-based league competitions.

The purpose of these divisions are for players to compete against players of in the same age and stage in their development who are committed to soccer.

All of these divisions are province-wide competitions and incorporate PEI FC. Clubs that participate in these divisions can expect to travel throughout the province as well as PEI to play games.

Teams in these divisions also compete in the NS Cup for the chance to attend Canada Soccer Club Nationals

How it Operates

The Youth Performance divisions operate on an annual timeline

  • Jan-March: Pre-season
  • March-Sept: League Competition
  • Oct-Dec: Rest, Team Formations and Transition to next season

How to be a part of it

Players are selected by their Clubs to be on the Performance teams.

The Senior AA and AAA divisions are hosted on the NSSL website.

The Senior AAA divisions compete to earn the right to represent Nova Scotia at Club Nationals.

Please contact your Club to find out if they offer Senior AA or AAA programs.
